Ohio man wanted in wife’s murder captured in Alabama

An Ohio man charged with murder in the deadly shooting of his wife in November while their children were at home was arrested Friday morning by U.S. Marshals in Alabama.
Tremayne Burdine was wanted in the death of 30-year-old Tenisha Burdine. He was charged with two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault and one count of tampering with evidence, according to Dayton Municipal Court records.
Police were notified of the shooting after Tremayne Burdine dropped off his children at a relative’s home in Harrison Twp. The children were crying and said that their father shot their mother, a woman said in a 911 call.

Tarrant police and fire medics were dispatched just after 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, to the 1400 block of Elizabeth Avenue on a 19-year-old shot.

The capital murder charges against a 26-year-old man in a deadly Tarrant shooting have been dismissed and now two Bessemer sisters are instead charged with the crime.
Police say Angel Boyd, 22, and Princess Boyd, 18, lied to investigators about what happened the Sunday night when 19-year-old Cevon Deshun Gibbs was killed.LiHerman John Hayes was initially charged but those charges were dismissed Friday and he was released from the Jefferson County Jail. He had been held for two days on no bond after being arrested hiding in the crawl space of an Ensley home.

A Talladega teen has been arrested in connection with a December killing.
Jarell Dishon King, 19, is charged with one count of capital murder and one count of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
He was taken into custody about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday by the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Etowah County and Talladega County sheriff’s deputies. The suspect was found hiding in a residence in the 1500 block of Alabama Avenue in Gadsden.
King is charged in the Dec. 5 slaying of 26-year-old Corneil Dontavious James. Talladega County sheriff’s officials said deputies responded at 6:45 p.m. that Saturday to Munford Exxon on Highway 21. Responding officers arrived and found James inside a 2017 Chevy Cruz in the parking lot. He had been shot multiple times. He was taken to Citizens Baptist Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
3rd suspect jailed in Homewood shooting that injured woman

The third and final suspect in a November shooting in Homewood that left a woman injured has been arrested.
The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, on behalf of Homewood police, arrested Anthony Devonte Miles, 19, on Tuesday. He is charged with six counts of attempted murder.
The other suspects previously charged with the same crimes are Richard Sowell Jr., 22, and Shannon Mallory Jr., 19.
The shooting happened in the early-morning hours of Nov. 27 on Oxmoor Road near Interstate 65, according to Homewood police Sgt. John Carr. Investigators believe that two groups got into an altercation at El Sol on Valley Avenue in Birmingham. Both groups were asked to leave the club and did so, leaving in separate vehicles.
