Northwestern to host festival of culture Thursday, April 8, 2021 Northwestern College will hold the Beloved Festival of Culture on Friday, April 23. The public is invited to attend the event, which will take place on the campus green from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The festival will combine elements from Northwestern’s annual Cultural Fair and Beloved Music and Arts Festival. With a theme of “A Celebration of Unity,” it will include an international fashion show, Bollywood dance, live music, inflatables, and food from around the world. Northwestern’s Jazz Band will open the entertainment portion of the festival. “This event is an opportunity to celebrate the many cultures within our beloved community,” says Dr. Kevin McMahan, associate dean for intercultural development. “We’re eager to share the cultural riches of Northwestern.”
