Just how many friends can one person have? In a 1993 study, Robin Dunbar, a British anthropologist, theorised that humans could have no more than about 150 meaningful relationships, a measure that became known as Dunbar s number.
But researchers at Stockholm University published a paper last week calling that number into question, finding that people could have far more friends if they put in the effort.

But researchers at Stockholm University published a paper last week calling that number into question, finding that people could have far more friends if they put in the effort.
âWe can learn thousands of digits of pi, and if we engage with lots of people, then we will become better at having relationships with lots of people,â said Johan Lind, an author of the study and an associate professor at Stockholm University. The paper was published in the journal Biology Letters.

Vegan KitKats will go on sale later this year NESTLE is to launch a new vegan version of its best-selling KitKat bar later this year. KitKat V has been developed by chocolatiers and food scientists in the company’s Research and Development centre in Haxby Road, York, and will be manufactured in a special production line at the adjacent factory. The company says it decided to create a vegan version because this was the most common request it saw on social media, after the number of vegans in Great Britain quadrupled between 2014 and 2019 from 150,000 to 600,000. “There is a quiet food revolution underway that is changing how people eat,” said marketing director Alex Gonnella.
