LSU drops fourth SEC series of the season to No. 5 South Carolina

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The LSU Tigers struggled in the final game of the series against No. 5 South Carolina as they lost 9-0 in the second game of Saturdayâs doubleheader.
In the two games South Carolina (24-10, 10-5 SEC) combined for 13 runs on 21 hits while LSU (21-14, 4-11 SEC) could only muster two runs on nine hits.
The Gamecocks got things started in the first inning as they launched a two-run home run to right field to quickly take a 2-0 lead.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WAFB) - No. 15 LSU exploded for 13 runs on 10 hits as they swept Saturdayâs doubleheader to take the series over North Carolina State in Curtis and Jacqueline Dail Stadium.
LSU (26-14, 8-7 SEC) got things started in the top of the second inning as Raeleen Guiterrez launched a no doubt solo home run to right field to take a 1-0 lead.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The newcomer to the quarterback room freshman quarterback Garrett Nussmeier connected with receiver Koy Moore from 4-yards out in the final seconds of the LSU Spring Game to extend the white teams lead to 23-14.
With no set starting quarterback for the Tigers entering the Spring the four quarterbacks, Myles Brennan, Max Johnson, TJ Finley and Nussmeier rotated between the two teams and combined for 512 yards passing and four touchdowns.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - LSU freshman point guard Jalen Cook has entered the NCAA transfer portal on Thursday, April 15 according to AL.comâs Matt Zenitz.
