A LIFESAVING West Midlands charity has been on the receiving end of part of a milestone donation tally. The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has been given a boost thanks to more than £1m raised by savings and retirement business Phoenix Group based in Wythall. The landmark sum, which has been raised since 2014, has been given to Lye based MAAC and the London Air Ambulance Charity via a range of fundraising activities including sponsored sleep outs, abseiling, cycling and skydiving by staff members. Hanna Sebright, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity chief executive, said: “The team at Phoenix Group understood the vitally-important nature of our work from the very start of the partnership and it is the commitment shown by everyone at Phoenix Group that has made the relationship such a success.
