Hello. My names muted i from cheshire police. Can we step in two seconds . Oh, yes. This is the moment when the net closed in. Yep, not a problem. In tears, lucy letby is brought out of her house under arrest and taken away. It seemed unbelievable a neonatal nurse, a protector of the most vulnerable members of society. Lucy letby had worked at the countess of chester Childrens Hospital since 2012. In early 2015, she qualified to work in the neonatal high dependency and intensive care units. Onjune 8 that year, she committed her first murder. For the next 12 months, the attacks continued. Injune 2016, two babies died in two days. 0n the third day, another baby collapsed. Letby was taken off clinical duties. Two years later, letby was arrested for the first time. Police found medical records under her bed and hand scrawled notes. I am a horrible, evil person, one says. I am evil. I did this, says another. I dont deserve to live. I killed them on purpose because im not good enough to care

All of this provided perfect cover for what she was doing because people thought, well, yes, its true. We we all being stretched. We have babies that have special needs, but its difficult needs, but its difficult for people. Devious personalities have to look the part. Thats not thats not true. And that definitely wasnt true. She looked like The Girl Next Door who liked betting on horses, enjoyed herjob, was trying to be one of the best. But its all about control. Ive rarely come across a personalit

To move very quickly. Dan roan, bbc news, sydney. This programme continues on bbc one. After a trial lasting 10 months, a jury decided nurse lucy letby deliberately injected seven babies with air, force fed others milk and poisoned some with insulin. Her victims included twins and two boys in a set of identical triplets, who she murdered within 2a hours of each other. Consultants who told Hospital Managers they had concerns about letby were forced to apologise to herfor raising suspicions. Well ask why bosses at the countess of Chester Hospital, where she worked, failed to investigate the deaths for so long. There is only one Serial Killer of babies. The Executive Team were not the people who were responsible for the deaths of those babies, but they had some opportunities to get to the bottom of what was happening. And why does a Health Professional trained to save lives become a Serial Killer . The person who kills within a Healthcare Setting has already developed the desire to kill,
