Skegness road to close for eight months for repairs Roman Bank in Skegness. Photo: Lincolnshire County Council Improvement works on the Roman Bank in Skegness will close the road fully for just over eight months. Work is being carried out between Roman Bank’s junction with Burgh Road/Castleton Boulevard and just past the junction with Elmhirst Avenue. Lincolnshire County Council will start the work on Monday, September 7 and aim to replace worn out carriageway and footpaths, improve drainage and refurbish a pedestrian crossing. As part of the project, a 24/7 road closure will be in place on the 550m stretch of road.

Former teacher from Long Sutton admitted three charges of having indecent images of children Published: 14:01, 24 February 2021 A former teacher who downloaded more than 45,000 indecent images of children onto his computer devices was today (Wednesday) given a suspended jail sentence. Ian Stuart Bradbury (66), who was described as having an addiction to downloading material onto his devices, was arrested after police carried out a raid on his home in Long Sutton back in August 2019. Eunice Opare-Addo, prosecuting, told Lincoln Crown Court: “Officers attended at the home address of the defendant due to information received by the police and he was arrested for making indecent images of children.”
