Man in court over cyclist s death in crash on A47 at King s Lynn

A man has appeared in court this week charged in connection with the death of a cyclist on the A47 at Lynn last year.
David Bamford, 66, is accused of causing the death of James Pottle by driving without due care and attention.
Mr Pottle, who was 63, suffered fatal injuries in a collision on the eastbound carriageway of the A47, between the Saddlebow and Hardwick roundabouts on the edge of Lynn, on the morning of January 24, 2020.

Bamford, of Roman Bank, Skegness, appeared before Norwich Crown Court on Tuesday. He did not enter a plea to the charge against him.

Jodie Bettany was last seen in her room on Wednesday evening and was reported missing at 9.15am on Thursday, December 31.
Jodie may have travelled to the Merseyside area either overnight or on Thursday, but could possibly still be in Lincolnshire.
Jodie is described as having long dark blonde hair, is of petite build, around 5ft tall and may have been wearing a black bomber coat with a fur hood.
Gedney Drove End parking concerns cause worries over plans for pub
Gedney parish councillors have raised a number of concerns surrounding two planning applications in Gedney Drove End.
During a virtual meeting of Gedney Parish Council on Tuesday, councillors discussed issues, including parking and road safety, about a pair of applications relating to The Rising Sun pub, in Pit Lane, submitted by owners Great Night Inns Ltd.
One application proposes improvements and extensions to the last remaining pub in Gedney Drove End, while the other sets out plans to build two properties on land behind the pub.
