Peggy Sanders to join Northwest Elder Law Group

Owned and managed by attorney Rebecca King, Northwest Elder Law Group has offices near Northgate, and provides legal services to older adults and their families. “Peggy Sanders is an excellent, experienced and dedicated elder law attorney. I am thrilled to add her to our team,” King said. “I’m excited about this move,” Sanders said. “This will give us a much broader range of resources to serve the needs of our clients.” Attorney Nicole Betts and paralegal Tracy Smith will also be joining Northwest Elder Law Group along with Sanders. The three will be working out of the Northgate offices starting June 1, 2021.

MY EDMONDS NEWS Posted: March 5, 2021 Edmonds City Council candidate Will Chen speaks to supporters via Zoom Thursday night. Will Chen officially jumped into the race for Edmonds City Council Position 2 on Thursday evening with a virtual kickoff event. Chen’s entry means the Position 2 contest is now at least a three-way race, pitting him against local business owner Janelle Cass and incumbent Luke Distelhorst, appointed last year to fill out the remaining term of now-Mayor Mike Nelson. The deadline to file for a city council position is May 21, with the primary election set for Aug. 3 and the genearl election Nov. 2.

MY EDMONDS NEWS Posted: January 24, 2021 Will Chen Edmonds Citizens Housing Commissioner, community volunteer and local business owner Will Chen on Sunday announced his campaign for Edmonds City Council in the 2021 election. Chen said he has not yet decided which position he will run for. Three of the council’s seven seats Positions 1, 2 and 3 are up for election this year. Kristiana Johnson, who holds Position 1, is a retired transportation planner who has been on the council since 2012. Position 2 is occupied by Luke Distelhorst, facing election after he was appointed to fill out the remainder of Edmonds Mayor Mike Nelson’s council term. Position 3 is held by three-term Councilmember Adrienne Fraley-Monillas, a retired state government manager who was first elected to the council in 2009.
