BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Beaufort County Sheriffâs Office says they have responded to two accidents that closed roads for extended periods of time.
Deputies say the first accident was reported at 10:09 a.m. Saturday on Parris Island Gateway at the intersection of Savannah Highway. The crash involved two cars and deputies say it closed all southbound lanes of Parris Island Gateway until 10:58 a.m. Saturday.

BEAUFORT, S.C. (WTOC) - The Beaufort Police Department have given the all clear after a reported bomb threat caused Walmart to be evacuated and part of Robert Smalls Parkway to be shutdown.
The Beaufort County Sheriffâs Office Bomb Squad and patrol division held police evacuate the Beaufort Walmart and conduct a sweep of the property.
No explosive devices were found and the store was allowed to re-open. Police say there is now an active investigation into identifying the suspect or suspects responsible for the hoax call.
