Woman says man tried to punch & grab her on Eugene bike path
She said she saw him and thought he was behaving in a suspicious manner, appearing to watch people near the bathroom. She was able to run away and call 911.

EUGENE, Ore. - The Eugene Police Department issued a warning Sunday after a woman claimed a man tried to punch and grab her on a bike path.
On Saturday around 8:47 a.m., a woman in her 40s told police she was jogging with her smaller-type dog on the West Bank Bike Path, near 300 N. Jefferson and Owen Rose Memorial Gardens.

EUGENE, Ore. – Eugene police made two arrests after a detective posed online as a teenage girl and then agreed to meet with the men who responded to the post.
Police said two men responded separately to the posting and agreed to meet with the person who identified themselves as a 15-year-old girl.

Prosecutors have charged a 25-year-old man with two felonies for assaulting a coffee stand worker early Monday morning.
Jesus Martinez-Escudero faces charges of first-degree burglary and second-degree assault after Eugene police say he assaulted a barista at a Dutch Bros. drive-thru near the University of Oregon campus.
According to a news release, the Eugene Police Department received a report around 5:30 a.m. Monday that a man had attacked a worker at the Dutch Bros. drive-thru at 2115 Franklin Blvd.
The man, now identified as Martinez-Escudero, was wearing a mask that concealed his nose and mouth. He tried to grab the worker and then hit her with a blunt object, EPD spokesperson Melinda McLaughlin said in the release.
