West Virginia Attorney General issued the following announcement on Feb. 26.
Attorney General Patrick Morrisey announced his office will host various events across West Virginia aimed at consumer education and fighting fraud as part of National Consumer Protection Week 2021.
The Attorney General collaborates with the Federal Trade Commission and federal, state and local agencies, consumer groups and national organizations to raise awareness about consumer fraud issues from Sunday, Feb. 28, to Saturday, March 6.
The consumer protection events will give residents an opportunity to meet with a representative from the Attorney General s Office to discuss consumer-related issues and any potential questions.

The nation’s top-rated food chain is set to open Thursday in a freestanding store in Fox Chapel Plaza.
The restaurant is expected to create 100 full- and part-time jobs, company representatives said.
