Mainpuri: In a shocking incident reported from the Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh, a mentally challenged man was shot dead by villagers on the suspicion of being a cattle thief.
The incident took place in Nagla Sawaj villages under Oncha police station on Wednesday.

Pratapgarh: A woman officer posted in Uttar Pradesh s Pratapgarh has lodged a complaint against a man accusing him of raping and blackmailing her, the police said today.
Acting on the complaint, the police on Friday arrested the accused who is from the state s Shahjahanpur district, Station House Officer Ram Adhar said.

The incident took place in Shastri Nagar area under Nauchandi police station on Sunday in Meerut. The girl s room was locked for four days.
