Boyfriend charged in baby Kamilah s death given $25,000 bond

LAS CRUCES - A man charged with child abuse resulting in the death of an infant was granted potential release from the Doña Ana County Detention Center on a $25,000 secured bond Tuesday.
Ramirez is charged with two first-degree felonies intentional abuse of a child under 12 resulting in death and abuse of a child resulting in great bodily harm.
Third Judicial District Judge Richard Jacquez set Ramirez s bond at $25,000 in a pretrial detention hearing Tuesday morning and according to the Third Judicial District Attorney s Office, ruled the court could fashion release conditions reasonably tailored to protect the community. LAS CRUCES - A Las Cruces man accused of battering his girlfriend who later gave her children a note to give to a school bus driver saying she was in danger has been granted conditions of release from jail while awaiting trial on felony charges.
The Third Judicial District Attorney s Office reports Erik Alvarado was given a $5,000 secured bond Thursday, April 29, by District Court Judge Richard Jacquez. Alvarado was still in jail, according to jail records, as of noon Thursday.
Alvarado, 40, is charged with three third-degree felony counts of aggravated battery against a household member and misdemeanor counts of battery against a household member and deprivation of property.
The shooting suspect was identified by police as Alfonso Rodriguez, 32, who is charged with first degree murder and tampering with evidence related to the shooting. Rodriguez is also charged with several felonies unrelated to the Archuleta s death.
Las Cruces-Doña Ana County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that helps police locate Rodriguez and his girlfriend, Leanna Herrera, 32, who may be accompanying him.
