Boyfriend charged in baby Kamilah's death given $25,000 bond

LAS CRUCES - A man charged with child abuse resulting in the death of an infant was granted potential release from the Doña Ana County Detention Center on a $25,000 secured bond Tuesday.
Ramirez is charged with two first-degree felonies — intentional abuse of a child under 12 resulting in death and abuse of a child resulting in great bodily harm.
Third Judicial District Judge Richard Jacquez set Ramirez's bond at $25,000 in a pretrial detention hearing Tuesday morning and according to the Third Judicial District Attorney's Office, "ruled the court could fashion release conditions reasonably tailored to protect the community."
