The Bhartiya Janta Party on Friday suspended the rebel MLA Tunna Pandey after he drew sharp criticism against the present Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar.
State BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal in the letter of suspension issued to Pandey said, you are issuing statements in violation of the party s discipline. In spite of this, you made another comment against party line. So, youâre suspended from the party with immediate effect .
BJP had issued a show cause notice to Pandey for his remarks on Nitish Kumar on Thursday and directed him to reply with in ten days. But, suspension was announced within 24 hours and without waiting for the response from the legislator.
The saffron party MLC created unrest within the ruling NDA coalition when he said that RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav was the one who won people s mandate for the post of the chief minister, but Nitish Kumar got the chair "circumstantially" drawing flak from his party leadership.

The strongman of Siwan, former RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) MP Mohammad Shahabuddin, who was serving a life sentence for murder in Delhi’s Tihar jail, succumbed to Covid in a Delhi hospital on May 1, nine days short of his 54th birthday. No sooner than the news broke, a silent yet determined move was discernible in the state to claim the support of the minority cohorts that swore by the Bihar bahubali.
Though Bihar, like many other states, is under complete lockdown in an attempt to rein in a brutal second wave of the disease, politicians, cutting across party lines, have made their way to Siwan’s Pratappur village to commiserate with Shahabuddin’s son Osama Saheb, who is being groomed to inherit his father’s mantle.

The virus really has been democratic in attacking humanity: the good, the bad, the rich and poor, and now pretty much even young and old alike. Just a week after former RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin lost his life to coronavirus at a hospital in Delhi, now speculations around underworld don Chhota Rajan s death have started doing the rounds.
It was earlier reported that Chhota Rajan died of COVID at AIIMS on Saturday. But the hospital and Delhi Police issued a clarification, saying the notorious gangster is still alive and receiving treatment at the hospital.
