Game one featured a first-pitch home run to Miguel Aparicio, giving Hickory a 1-0 edge.
The Dash offense exploded in the second inning as Hickory starter Zak Kent gave up two homers to put the Dash ahead 4-1.
Hickory answered in the third with two homers of their own to tie the game at 4. Jake Guenther blasted a leadoff solo bomb, followed by a Blaine Crim two-run home run to mark his 12th on the year.

The Hickory Crawdads went through a gauntlet of emotions Thursday before pulling out an 8-7 win at Winston-Salem. Hickory had an early 4-0 lead squandered away by the sixth inning, but rallied from two runs down in the top of the ninth for four runs and held of the Dash’s own rally to win.
In the second inning, Pedro Gonzalez opened the inning for the Crawdads by being walked in four straight pitches. Jake Guenther singled putting Gonzalez to second. Frainyer Chavez singled to right field, plating Gonzalez and moving Guenther to second. Isaias Quiroz the singled on a bunt ground ball, moving everyone up a base. Hickory Crawdads Open Road Trip With Shutout Win

The Hickory Crawdads opened a series Tuesday night at the Winston-Salem Dash, winning in dominating fashion, 8-0. Crawdads pitching allowed only six hits and none of them were extra base hits. Meanwhile, the Hickory offense pounded out 12 hits, two of them doubles and a two run home run by Blaine Crim in the fourth inning for the big win.
The contest was scoreless until the fourth inning. Jonathan Ornelas singled but advanced to third on a fielding error. Crim would then hit the home run, his eighth of the season to give Hickory the early 2-0 lead.
Hickory Wraps Up Series Against Asheville With Win
Starting pitcher Grant Wolfram threw six shutout innings (86 pitches), striking out nine, walking two and allowing just one hit.

The Hickory Crawdads offense powered the team to a 6-1 victory over the Asheville Tourists on Sunday night in front of a sold out crowd of 5,576. The ‘Dads took the series 4 games to 2.
The Crawdads wasted no time getting things going. Kellen Strahm led off the bottom of the first with a homerun. Blaine Crim collected a single to extend his hitting streak to seven games and got on base for Miguel Aparicio. Aparicio drove his 5th homerun of the year to give the ‘Dads a 3-0 lead.
