At the Carrick-on-Shannon Municipal District meeting, he proposed that to further enhance the area, the Council would apply for grand aid to resurface the road from Belmont to Drumsna bridge that would connect with the work that s going to be done between Jamestown and Drumsna.

Comments will be used to evaluate the impact of the proposed activity, and “to determine whether to issue, modify, condition, or deny, a permit for this proposal,” according to the Army Corps, and “a permit will be granted unless its issuance is found to be contrary to the public interest.” The Bebop is being financed by hedge fund manager William Perkins III, founder of Brisa Max Holdings VI LLC, who moved to the territory in 2013 and proposed the floating bar under the business name “Cowgirl Bebop LLLP.”

Exposed roadside drains in Carrick-on-Shannon need to be addressed says councillor Reporter: );   ); Concerns were expressed at last Monday s meeting of Carrick-on-Shannon Municipal District about the roadside drainage on the Leitrim Road out of Carrick-on-Shannon near the Lis Cara entrance and the poor fencing in that area. Cllr Finola Armstrong-McGuire said the drains are open and poorly fenced and vary from shallow to deep. She said the area is heavily populated with small children, people are concerned, and attention is needed as a matter of priority. Cllrs Enda Stenson, Paddy Farrell and Des Guckian all supported the motion. Darragh O Boyle, District Engineer, said the there is going to be development on the other side of the road (Department of Health development) which will involve traffic islands and footpath construction which will link into the existing footpaths in the Lis Cara area.

Mohill town to be linked to rowing facility and caravan park by footpath News welcomed at Carrick-on-Shannon Municipal District meeting Reporter:   ); There was more positive news for the town of Mohill when it was announced that funding has been secured for a footpath to link the rowing facility and camping site with the town. The news came last Monday at the monthly meeting of Carrick-on-Shannon Municipal District when Cllr Enda Stenson calling for funding to be secured to connect the town from the existing footpath out to the international rowing facility at Lough Rinn. Cllr Stenson said he was delighted with the recent funding secured for Mohill public realm works but he believed that to properly enhance Mohill funding was needed for a proper, fully lit-up walkway to be put in place.
