Bandipora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad today chaired a meeting to discuss District Development Plan formulation 2021-22 at Conference Hall Mini Secretariat, here.
At the outset, Joint Director Planning presented a detailed overview of methodology and ways forward for District Development Plan formulation as per circular instructions of the Govt, under 3 tier planning system through power point presentation. He revealed the Uniform templates devised for the purpose of propagation and consolidation through Gram Sabhas.
It was given out that under PRI grants, Rs 23.30 Lakhs shall be allocated per Panchayat, Rs 25 lakhs per Block for Block Development Councils and Rs 10 Crore grants for District Development Councils that shall be made part of Capex in addition to MGNREGA, 14th FC, PMAY, JJM and PMGSY sectors.

The DC said that under this ceiling plan for district Rs. 185.06 Crore have been approved and simultaneously provided including shares from its District Capex component, loan, CSS and Matching state share.
She said development plan focus and monitoring will be on those projects that have high visibility, higher impact and high implementability. Simultaneously projects which do not have adequate preparedness for implementation shall not be taken up.
She urged that while formulating any plan each work be identified with reason and justification and requirement status to ensure equitable development. She said each BDC Grant has been fixed at Rs. 25.00 lacs per Block and Rs 23.30 lakh per panchayat.
DDC Members Administered Oath Across JK
SRINAGAR: The elected members of maiden District Development Council (DDC) elections held in the history of Jammu and Kashmir were on Monday administered oath by respective district heads across all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
On the occasion, 138 DDC members representing 138 Block Constituencies of 10 districts of the division swore in the name of God and pledged to bear true faith and allegiance to the constitution of India and also uphold the Sovereignty of India.
AT SRINAGAR: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, today administered oath to the recently elected members of District Development Council (DDC) of Srinagar, who registered their victory in the first DDC election held in Jammu & Kashmir.
