(WSFA) - Montgomery police have charged a suspect in a February robbery and shooting. Joedauris Tolliver, 21, is charged with robbery first degree and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, Montgomery Police Capt. Saba Coleman said. Coleman says the charges are related to an incident that happened on Feb. 8 in the 4200 block of Sunshine Drive. Court records say after robbing the victim, Tolliver and another suspect shot into a home while the victim and another person were inside. The building was damaged by gunfire.

Police charge man after April shooting, kidnapping, police chase

The man who allegedly shot a mother, kidnapped her daughter and shot at police during a pursuit last month before shooting himself has been charged.  Joshua Dwayne Taylor, 23, of Wetumpka, was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon on charges of attempted murder, first-degree kidnapping and second-degree assault.  Montgomery police Capt. Saba Coleman said the ordeal began about 4:30 a.m. April 5 at a residence in the 2000 block of Rexford Road.  Taylor, according to his arrest affidavit, unlawfully entered the home looking for the daughter of the woman who would become a gunshot victim.  While inside the residence the defendant caused serious physical injury to the victim by shooting her in the right thigh/knee area, an officer wrote in Taylor s court records. The defendant then forcibly took the victim s daughter out of the residence against her will and fled the scene.

(WSFA) - A man involved in an April kidnapping, pursuit, and later standoff with police has been identified and charged. Joshua Taylor, 23, is charged with assault second degree, kidnapping first degree and attempted murder, according to Montgomery Police Capt. Saba Coleman. Coleman says officer and medics were called around 4:30 a.m. on April 5 to the 2000 block of Rexford Road after a report of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found a woman who had non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.

Police arrest second teen after April shooting death of 30-year-old man

View Comments A second Montgomery teen is charged with two counts of capital murder after a 30-year-old man was shot to death last month.  Matthew Clayton, 18, was charged Monday morning with two counts of capital murder, one for allegedly shooting into a vehicle and another for shooting from a vehicle. Rontavious Managan, 18, was charged with the same shortly after 30-year-old Jamarcus Jordan was killed on April 3.  Officers and medics responded to Troy Highway near Eastern Boulevard shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 3 on a report of a person shot. Jordan was found at the scene suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound, and he was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, police have said. He d been shot multiple times, according to court records filed against the two teens.
