A 3-year-old boy from Marion County died early Saturday morning after drowning in a creek, stated the Marion County Sheriff s Office.  According to a news release, Marion County dispatch received a call Friday at 5:24 p.m. from a residence in the 2700 block of Fairview Road near Larue of a missing boy. Deputies from the sheriff’s office and firefighters from Scioto Valley Fire District responded to the call. Prior to first responders arriving on scene, the child was found by a family member in a nearby creek. When first responders arrived, the boy was taken to Marion General Hospital. He was then flown to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, where he died at 3:44 a.m. Saturday.
