Female remains found in Marion
(WSIL) Human remains were found Friday in Marion.
On July 23 around 9:15 p.m. Marion Police responded to the wooded area north of the 1600 block of Peabody Road.
Responding officers located the remains of a deceased suspected female, who had presumably taken up residence in the area.
Members of Marion s Investigations Unit and the Williamson County Coroner s Office responded to the scene for a follow-up investigation.
Due to the condition of the remains, a positive identification has not been made.

MARION-On July 12 at 10:00 p.m., officers responded to the Dollar General at 1055 Bellefontaine Avenue for a report of an aggravated robbery.
The clerk in the store stated that a suspect had indicated he had a weapon and demanded money from the register. The suspect is described as a black male, 6’3 or so, and slender. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black or blue pants, and a white hospital or COVID type mask. A still shot from the surveillance video is attached.
“We need the help of the public to help us capture this brazen and violent criminal,” said Marion Police Chief Jay McDonald.
