James Thomas Tams, 58, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court to committing a public nuisance offence. Police prosecutor Carl Spargo read the facts of Tams’ case to the court and Magistrate Bevan Manthey. On March 15, about 4pm, Tams stood on the road at Palm Dr, West Gladstone, yelling “f -” and “c -” at a witness numerous times and words to the effect of “Get the police before I knock this bloke out”. The witness responded: “No you won’t” to which Tams responded “Yeah I will”.

Woman fined after pub argument

Premium Content Subscriber only A heated family argument resulted in a woman calling patrons of a busy Gladstone pub “b ” and “c ”, a court has heard. Charmaine Rose Weimer, 23, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to committing public nuisance. Police prosecutor Carl Spargo read the facts of Weimer’s case to the court and Magistrate Bevan Manthey. On February 28, about 7pm, police attended the Rocky Glen Hotel at West Gladstone in relation to a disturbance. Police arrived and took up with witnesses who stated they observed Weimer drunk and using offensive language, calling other patrons “b ” and “c -”.

Premium Content Subscriber only A Gladstone woman who was busted driving without a licence received a blunt piece of advice from the Magistrate on Tuesday. Rachel Michelle Pomare, 27, pleaded guilty in the Gladstone Magistrates Court to driving without a driver’s licence. Police prosecutor Carl Spargo read the facts of Pomare’s case to the court and Magistrate Bevan Manthey. Around 8.30am on March 23 police conducting patrols on Harvey Road, Clinton observed the defendant driving a white Ford falcon. Pomare identified herself as the driver and submitted to a roadside breath test and licence check. Pomare stated she did not hold a Queensland driver’s licence and was the holder of a New Zealand learner’s permit which had not transferred over.

Police prosecutor Carl Spargo read the facts of Kist s case to the court and Magistrate Bevan Manthey. On March 20, around 6.30pm, Calliope police attended Salisbury Street, Mt Larcom in relation to a man yelling obscenities on the street. Police arrived and took up with the informant, who happened to be an off duty police officer. The informant stated he saw Kist walk up the street and approach his front gate. The informant stated Kist was intoxicated and yelling words to the effect of, Where are you, copper dog? and Where the f - are you?
