Prosecutor Kelvin Boyd read the facts of Dwyer s case to the court, which commenced on January 1, 2021. On that date, Dwyer completed a six month licence disqualification and he was instructed by the court to reapply, however, failed to do so. Around 3pm on Tuesday, February 9 police from Coomera Road Policing Unit on the Gold Coast were conducting speeding enforcement on Gilston Rd, Nerang. Dwyer was detected speeding in a grey Volkswagen Amarok ute and was stopped for the offence. A roadside computer check confirmed Dwyer was unlicensed at the time and he had no lawful or emergency reason for driving.

A Gladstone woman who was intercepted by police driving without a licence was on her way to get fast food for her child, a court has heard.
Nickola May McGregor, 22, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to driving without a licence.
Police prosecutor Carl Spargo read the facts of McGregorâs case to the court and Magistrate Bevan Manthey.
On March 19, about 9.40pm, McGregor was intercepted driving a Kia Rio hatchback on William St, Gladstone, and submitted to a licence check.
The check revealed the defendant had never held a licence in Queensland.

A Gladstone manâs late night craving for fast food landed him in trouble with the law.
Dylan Smith, 21, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to driving without a licence (SPER suspended).

On March 21, about 2.30am, police were conducting patrols on Goondoon St when they intercepted a silver Mazda and Smith submitted to a breath test and licence check.
Smith provided a Queensland provisional driverâs licence, however, checks showed it was SPER suspended as of March 19.

A Gladstone woman who was busted driving without a licence received a blunt piece of advice from the Magistrate on Tuesday.
Rachel Michelle Pomare, 27, pleaded guilty in the Gladstone Magistrates Court to driving without a driverâs licence.

Around 8.30am on March 23 police conducting patrols on Harvey Road, Clinton observed the defendant driving a white Ford falcon.
Pomare identified herself as the driver and submitted to a roadside breath test and licence check.
Pomare stated she did not hold a Queensland driverâs licence and was the holder of a New Zealand learnerâs permit which had not transferred over.

A Gladstone womanâs traffic history came back to bite her in the local Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Anita Kontro, 51, pleaded guilty to driving without a licence - which had been demerit point suspended.

On February 24, 2021 Kontroâs licence was suspended due to the loss of her demerit points.
On March 7 at 5pm police intercepted a Toyota sedan for a licence check in the NightOwl Gladstone car park.
Checks on Kontroâs licence found she was driving on a suspended licence and when questioned, she had no emergent reason for driving.
