Police escorted Ellwood to the police car when he refused to get in and began arguing about leaving his car.
The responding senior constable warned Ellwood if he did not get into the police car, he would be charged with obstructing police.
Ellwood was given a last chance, however, he did not comply and was subsequently arrested for obstructing police.
He was transported due to the Gladstone police station due to behaviour such as grabbing onto the police car and tensing his arms before being handcuffed.
Ellwood was processed through the Gladstone Watch-house and released on a bail undertaking to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court.

A Gladstone mother of two said her son had missed the bus after she was intercepted by police driving without a licence.
Tani Edwina Jo Emery, 32, pleaded guilty to driving of motor vehicle without a driver s licence (repeat offender) on Monday in Gladstone Magistrates Court.
At 8am on February 2, 2021, Calliope Road Policing unit intercepted Emery for the purpose of a licence check.
Checks uncovered Emery had failed to reapply for her learner’s licence after a suspension.
Emery’s duty lawyer Jun Pepito said his client had not reapplied for a learner’s permit because she could not afford the fee or the fitting of the interlock device on her car.

She was issued a notice to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court.
When asked by Mr Morrow if she had anything to say in relation to her offending, Critchley said she did not.
“I made the mistake of doing it and I have to take it,” she said.
Ms Hoskins said Critchley did not have any history until nine days’ prior to the drug drive, when she was issued two tickets for not displaying her plates correctly on separate occasions.
Mr Morrow fined Critchley $300 and disqualified her from driving for three months with no conviction recorded.
