Body Found | Liberty Vindicator

At approximately lo:3oam Sunday, a fisherman hunting for a place to fish along a tributary that leads into the Trinity River near Private Road 442 in south Liberty County found the body of a white male lying on the bank of a wooded area near this small body of water and behind a private residence. This area was beyond the search perimeter covered by Texas EquuSearch on their search of Friday, January 15th in an attempt to find 22-year-old Nathan Heathco who had been reported missing since his car crash on Hwy.1409 earlier in the week. Liberty County Sheriff’s Lead Investigators Lucy Castro and David Meyers said that a positive identification and cause of death cannot be determined until an autopsy has been completed. Justice of the Peace Larry Wilburn of PCT. 4 conducted the inquest and ordered the autopsy. The investigation is on-going and awaiting the result of the autopsy report.

Several water related projects on tap for the city Moberly Monitor-Index Moving forward with several water and sewer related projects as well as providing renovation safety and technology measures for the chamber floor area at Moberly City Hall dominated the list of agenda items that were addressed Tuesday by the city council at its business meeting. L & J Development Inc. of Moberly is hired to perform the renovations at an estimated cost of $49, 920. Work could begin before this week concludes, and the project is expected to take nearly a month to complete providing that materials are available to order. A portion of CARES Act funds will help defray expenses.

A fisherman on Sunday came upon a man s dead body in a wooded area in south Liberty County, according to the Liberty County Sheriff s Office. The body was found 10:30 a.m. along a tributary that leads into the Trinity River near Private Road 442, just beyond the perimeter where Texas EquuSearch last Friday had been looking for 22-year-old Nathan Heathco. Heathco was reported missing last week after a car crash on Highway 1409. The body found Sunday has yet to be identified. Officials have ordered an autopsy, and the investigation is ongoing.
