The path toward expansion of health coverage to Nebraska’s working poor has been bumpy and uncertain for years. This month, federal regulators raised question marks about the series of requirements Nebraska has set for people to receive full Medicaid coverage. That’s a switch from the Trump administration, which cleared the way for the requirements.
If that remains the federal government’s stance, and it certainly appears that will be the case, Nebraska should move forward with full Medicaid coverage for those eligible. It’s way past time for Nebraska to end the uncertainty that’s long surrounded this program.
After mother natureâs tantrum last week, the Lied Center for Performing Arts provided a much-needed chance to get out of the house. On Feb. 20, illusionist Mike Super amazed his audience with enchanting illusions and magic tricks.Â
The show began with highlights from Superâs appearances on shows such as âPhenomenonâ and âAmericaâs Got Talentâ projected on a white sheet with a table behind it. The crowd was then dazzled as the sheet dropped and Super appeared standing on the table, giving the audience just a little taste of what the afternoon had in store.Â
All night, Super treated the audience to illusions such as card tricks, messing with peopleâs senses through voodoo dolls and guessing lottery ticket numbers, along with his many corny jokes.Â

These aims and the rest of the plan will utilize UNLâs strengths and be a primary focus of 2021, Green said.
âThey are necessary work and distinct opportunities at UNL to have an even greater defining impact for Nebraska and our world,â he said.
The necessity for narrowing issues into grand challenges has been in discussion since 2016, Green said, and last year the Office of Research & Economic Development worked to finalize the themes. In total, he said nearly 500 faculty, staff and students worked to shape these themes.
âEven though this past year we have, by necessity, been looking at a convergence of crises, we have continued to move forward on N2025,â Green said.
