Nearly 30 students will be showcased in the Lawrence school district’s annual talent show on Friday, which will be streamed virtually because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is the fifth year for the districtwide talent show for middle and high school students, and despite having to do things differently to ensure safety, the show will go on. Auditions for the show took place through a virtual process. Selected students then participated in a video-recording session on the Lied Center stage “in a safe and socially distant manner,” according to the Lied Center. All of the acts will then be featured in a virtual event at 7 p.m. Friday.

Tickets for spring shows go on sale to the public February 9 at 11 a.m. at liedcenter.org, by phone at (402) 472-4747, or in person at the Lied Center box office. People who purchase tickets to four or more shows will get a 20% discount on their entire order.
