COVID will delay those seeking to restore their driver’s license
Updated Feb 17, 2021;
Drivers who are dealing with the state Motor Vehicle Commission on license suspension and restoration issues may face some problems getting those issues resolved after employees in that office tested positive for the coronavirus.
Specifically affected is the MVC’s Uninsured Motorist business unit in the commission’s headquarters building in Trenton, where employees from that unit are currently quarantining until March 1, officials said. No other units at the Trenton headquarters are have been affected.
Because of this necessary safety precaution, the unit’s operations which includes, driver’s license suspensions and restorations, will be “heavily impacted,” MVC officials said. Customers generally don’t interact with that unit in person.
