COVID closes two MVC agencies in one day

The state Motor Vehicle Commission closed the busy Rahway and West Deptford agencies Thursday afternoon due to an employee testing positive for the coronavirus at each office.
The employee who tested positive was last in the Rahway licensing center on Feb. 24 and it will be closed until March 11, said William Connolly, an MVC spokesman.
The Rahway inspection station and driver road testing facilities are not affected because they are separate buildings from the agency.
The employee who tested positive was last in the West Deptford regional licensing center on Thursday, Feb. 25, and it will reopen Friday, March. 12, he said.
