The present lockdown was supposed to end by May 24. On Friday evening, when Karnataka reported 32218 fresh cases in the state with 9591 in Bengaluru alone, chief minister BS Yediyurappa held a meeting with his senior cabinet colleagues and also officials to decide on the next possible measure to further reduce the tally of cases and reduce the number of deaths due to Covid-19 in the state.
