(Tom Russo | Daily Reporter) The New Palestine swim teams picked up a pair of wins in the pool Thursday on Senior Night. The Dragons boys team pushed past New Castle, 88-84, and defeated Eastern Hancock, 107-65. The girls team beat New Castle, 96-81, and the Royals by a count of 125-26. Both Dragons and Royals had individual winners in the boys competition. Eastern Hancock’s Matthew McDaniel won the 200-yard IM (2:15.95) and 500 freestyle (5:23.32). New Palestine’s Jack Schwartz won the 50 freestyle (23.97) and 100 butterfly (1:01.40). Austin Lines won the 1-meter diving competition (196.65).
