The Rajasthan government on Sunday announced a 15-day lockdown in the state till May 3. Following the announcement, fear of job loss and uncertainty about livelihood drove migrant workers in the state to get back to their hometowns in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
Even though the lockdown order allowed industries and factories to function in order to prevent migration of labour, the recollection of the 2020 lockdown was enough for the migrant workers to start heading home.

Village officials say, “Health officials of Gaya have never visited our village since the chicken pox break out began.”
K.K. Rai, the civil surgeon of Gaya said: “We have learnt about the disease in villages falling under Pairaiya block and a team of medical officers were sent there for inspection on Friday.
“We will take action after the reports from the medical team.”
“We have asked villagers to keep the patients indoor and sanitize the area. It is equally important apart from medical assistance to the patients,” Rai said.
Chickenpox (varicella) is easily passed from one person to another through the air by coughing or sneezing or through the fluid from a blister of a person who has chickenpox. Although it is usually not a serious illness, it often causes children and their parents to miss days at school and work. Most cases of chickenpox in healthy children are treated with bed rest, fluids, and fever control.
