Study finds over 78 per cent respondents have faced violence in public places Most participants, particularly women, identified violence as a broad term, consisting of physical, mental, verbal, and sexual abuse. Share Via Email | A+A A- By PTI NEW DELHI: A study on bystander behaviour has revealed that 38.5 per cent of them didn t intervene during violence in public spaces because they did not know what to do. According to the study Decoding Bystander Behaviour: Actions to Address Violence Against Women 78.4 per cent of the respondents said that they had faced violence in public spaces. The study by Breakthrough with support from Uber India and IKEA Foundation was conducted in Jharkhand (Hazaribagh district), Bihar (Gaya district), Haryana (Jhajjar district), Delhi, Maharashtra (Mumbai), Telangana (Hyderabad) and Kolkata, covering over 721 respondents through digital survey and 91 in-depth interviews.

On his own altogether, he planted around 10,000 trees to create a guava orchard in a waste barren land on the banks of the River Phalgu in Bihar. This project started 15 years ago and was hard at work to complete. What inspired him to do this was a visit made by the famous mountain man Dashrath Manjhi, who became famous for carving a road out of a mountain for 22 straight years.

Image Source: IANS News Patna, Jan 7 : A government high school in Bihar s Gaya district has suspended all its classes for an indefinite period as a precautionary measure after the headmaster of the institution tested positive for coronavirus, an official said on Thursday. The Gaya district administration on Wednesday announced the closure of the school, situated in Saraiya village. The state government on December 4 reopened all the government and private schools after a nine-month-long hiatus, in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
