South Lakes dairy farm reaches finals of prestigious national awards A South Cumbrian family dairy farm is a finalist in prestigious national awards. Low Sizergh Farm, near Kendal, has been shortlisted in the Soil Association’s 2021 Best of Organic Market Awards best of organic farms over 10 hectares category. The two other farms are in Oxfordshire and Somerset. The Park family has farmed at Low Sizergh for the last 40 years and its organic milk is sold direct from the farm and is also made into cheese and ice-cream. Today the 400-acre farm, which is owned by the National Trust, is in the hands of Marjorie and John Park’s son Richard and his wife Judith and their son Matthew.

Each year, it champions women in every part of the hospitality industry from sommeliers to human resources, chefs to PRs. Nina is the only Cumbrian to feature in the list, which includes TV chefs and authors.
