Saucony has appointed
Fábio Tambosi to its chief marketing officer role, effective immediately. In this position, Tambosi will be tasked with strategic development and execution of the company’s global branding initiatives, and will report to Anne Cavassa, president of Saucony. (Additionally, he will join the brand’s senior leadership team.) Tambosi has more than 18 years of industry experience, and was most recently at Adidas where he was the global head of brand, planning and activation for the sports performance categories. Before Adidas, he had stints at Nike and Nokia.

ATHENS, TN - Janet âRuthâ Rice, 73, of Athens, passed away Monday March 8, 2021 at NHC Health Care in Athens, TN.
She was a native of Washington County, and was a long-time resident of Jonesborough, TN and was daughter to the late Roy and Marie Blankenship.
She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and graduate of Lamar High School. She retired from Alliance Data Systems in Johnson City, TN.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Kristi Dawn Rice and nephew Justin Blankenship.
She is survived by her son, Jeff and Tiffany Rice; step-grandchildren, Gage and Sydnee Duncan; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Myra Blankenship; a nephew and spouse, Matt and Angie Blankenship; niece and spouse, Larae and Phil Graves; and several great nieces and one great nephew.
THE site of a former Maplin store is set to be filled by the king of desserts after lying empty for two years. Kaspas Desserts will move into the site in London Road, Brighton, following a major renovation of the site. Maplin served its final customer in Brighton in 2018, with the electronics chain collapsing into administration and closing all of its UK stores. After the Brighton store shut, building owners Reefsouth Limited, a property investment company, redeveloped the upper parts into residential accommodation and created a new ground floor retail unit of 2,600 sq ft of virtual open plan trading area.
