Here is our pick of the bunch, from the high end to the cheap and cheerful.
Dinner at Home by Heston
There is no getting around it - Heston Blumenthal’s Dinner at Home is not cheap. But on the other hand, having a meal from one of the country’s greatest ever chefs delivered to your own home probably shouldn’t be. And what a meal it is - five courses of deliciousness and invention, featuring highlights of the famed west London restaurant’s menu. In fact, there are two menus to choose from, one with meat, one strictly vegetarian.
16th March 2021
Pukka is launching a new, limited-edition Sausage, Leek & Cider pie, in partnership with Westons Cider.
Rolling out to supermarkets shelves this week (RRP £1.89, 213g), the launch will be highlighted with a ‘limited-edition’ flash on the front of pack. Pukka has also swapped its trademark orange packaging for a summer-themed box complete with bunting imagery and a pint of Stowford Press cider.
Rachel Cranston, Head of Marketing and Innovation at Pukka, said: “Our mission is to put more pies on more plates more often, which means continuing to innovate to make pies more relevant throughout the year, including in the summer. With Sausage, Leek & Cider, we have achieved just that. This is thanks to working with the Westons team to add their well-loved Stowford Press to our recipe along with our combination of tasty ingredients – because nothing says summer quite like sipping on a refreshing cider.
Dorset pie from The Dorset Meat Company
IT IS British Pie Week and what better way to celebrate than by tucking in to our county s pie. As a nation famous for hearty pub-grub it s a little known fact, but perhaps unsurprising, that every county does in fact have its own signature pie. British Pie Week runs between 1-7 March and gives pie producers a real chance to celebrate their tasty work. No, it s not just the Melton Mowbray pie from Leicestershire or banoffee pie from Sussex - every county has it s very own pie. The Dorset pie may not be universally known, but boy is it delicious.

Higgidy goes pie for pie
Higgidy has pledged to donate over 100,000 pies to FareShare via its ‘pie for a pie’ on-pack initiative.
The company will donate a meal to the charity for every Higgidy pie purchased during British Pie Week, with special stickered packs on sale in supermarkets.
As part of its #PieceOfThePie social media promotion of the initiative, Higgidy is offering 500 pie lovers the chance to win a freebie and gift one to a friend, with the company donating £1 to FareShare for every pie claimed.
“Higgidy’s donation of 100,000 pies throughout Pie Week will help to feed the most vulnerable in our society, while also help to bring people together. That’s what food does, it brings people together,” said Lindsay Boswell, CEO at FareShare.
