BRIDGEPORT Police officials say “nothing looks suspicious” about the death of man whose body was found behind Bassick High School over the weekend.
Capt. Kevin Gilleran on Monday identified the victim as 46-year-old Bruce Lee Gilbert, who had been living at the nearby Bridgeport Rescue Mission up until nine days before his death.
His body was found after a 911 caller reported around 3:45 p.m. Sunday that they found a dead body on the school’s property on Fairfield Avenue, Gilleran said. Police and medics responded to the scene and found Gilbert in the stairwell. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
