After remaining in the dark for over a year, Bridgeport’s music hall, the Acoustic, is looking at the future in a new light.
For almost three decades, the Acoustic featured a variety of local musicians in the jam band and acoustic communities on an almost daily basis. Artists like John Mayer, Big Something and Goose got their starts at the Acoustic.
Located at 2926 Fairfield Ave. in Bridgeport’s Black Rock neighborhood, it is just one of the countless music venues that had to shut its doors last year amid the pandemic. Despite community fundraising efforts to keep the venue open, the Acoustic announced its indefinite closure in May. Its last live show was in March 2020.
