SPJIMR sets up Centre for Wisdom in Leadership (CWIL) CWIL intends to conduct research projects that address contemporary issues with a sense of wisdom Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s S P Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) has set up a Centre for Wisdom in Leadership (CWIL), which will partner with researchers, social organisations, public policy makers and industry from around the world to design innovative interventions in management education. CWIL intends to conduct research projects relevant to the contemporary issues. The multi-disciplinary approach will be drawn from the most pertinent findings in neurosciences, philosophy, developmental and organisational psychology, spirituality, ethics, sustainability, economics and sociology, and leadership. CWIL will offer evidence-based wisdom interventions such as seminars, executive education modules, workshops, and online courses; publish a practitioner-oriented journal; and hold an annual international conference.

It has been estimated that if India maintains its progress toward gender parity at the same pace as a fastest improving economy, it could add $700 billion to its GDP by 2025. Agencies Dr. Sumita Datta, SPJIMR said that “women entrepreneurs tend to be driven by a higher purpose of serving the needs of the society”. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s SPJIMR, along with FICCI-FLO Mumbai, the ladies organisation of industry body FICCI, have jointly released a white paper titled “Women Entrepreneurship in India – Navigating the Social Paradoxes”.

He has been closely associated with CII and was Vice-Chairman of CII, Tamil Nadu State Council  during 2020-21. Previously, he was Chairman of CII Tiruchy Zone and Convenor of Task Force on TN Medical Value Travel Mart. Smart India Hackathon- 2019 (Hardware Edition) Grand Finale at IIT Delhi

  New Delhi: The Grand Finale of 2nd part of the Smart India Hackathon-2019 (Hardware Edition) is being conducted from 8th to 12th July, 2019 at 18 nodal centres in 9 states, one Union Territory and one Capital Territory of India. The first part of Smart India Hackathon 2019, (Software Edition) was conducted on 2nd – 3rd March 2019. The Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon (SIH) -2019 (Hardware Edition) was inaugurated by the Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ in New Delhi today. The Union HRD Minister and MoS HRD Sh. Sanjay Dhotre interacted with the students participating in the Grand Finale at various nodal centres through video conferencing from New Delhi.
