Two rescues underway as high surf warning hits coast

PESCADERO, Calif. - The Bay Area s pacific coastline was hit with yet another round of high surf Sunday leaving two rescue crews at two different Bay Area beaches searching for victims.
Two people were swept into the ocean at Pescadero State Beach in San Mateo County. One person has since been rescued and tranported to the hospital but the other person is still missing.
Over in Point Bonita, three people were swept into the ocean while watching the waves from a restricted area. The three were hiking when all three were up by a sneaker wave. Two were able to get to nearby rocks and were later rescued, but the US Coast Gaurd is still looking for man in his 30s who they say is still missing.

A Peninsula couple were swept into the ocean off the San Mateo County coast Sunday, and another man was lost in the sea off the Marin Headlands amid dangerous surf conditions.
In the San Mateo County case, the husband and wife from the Redwood City area were on the rocks at Pescadero State Beach at about 3:15 p.m. when a large wave pulled them into the water, according to the county Sheriff’s Office.

A San Jose man in his 30s was swept from the bluffs into the ocean in the Marin Headlands area off Point Bonita, Golden Gate National Park Service reported on Twitter. The man and his friends were scrambling along the bluffs when the high surf caught him at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
