Colin Evans
A MAN who raped a woman while she begged him to stop has been given a sentence totalling 23 years. Colin Evans’s offending came to light in December 2017 after he had been arrested for sexually assaulting a different woman. Evans was jailed for seven years in 2019 for that offence. When officers from East CID in Lancashire launched an investigation into new complaints against Evans, the victim told them that she was in so much pain that she almost passed out and Evans refused to stop sexually assaulting her even when she begged him. That crime happened in Burnley.
Craddock Road, Colne A MOTORIST driving an Audi on cloned plates sped off after being eye-balled by a police officer who had previously arrested him.
Blackburn magistrates heard the officer followed Benjamin David Lee onto a car park and managed to get nose-to-nose with him before he manoeuvred his way back onto the road. He went the wrong way down Craddock Road, Colne, at 60mph towards a blind bend and traffic lights and the officer decided it was too dangerous to follow. Less than three weeks later Lee was again seen behind the wheel of a car and after colliding with a parked vehicle got out and ran off.
