Hyderabad, May 21 : Higher investment and research is driving significant growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in India, finds a study.
The AI Index 2021 annual report by the Indian School of Business s IT-focused think tank, Srini Raju Centre for Information Technology and Networked Economy (SRITNE), captured trend, research & development education, and entrepreneurial activity. The ISB research team, led by Professor Deepa Mani, found that investments in AI-managed processes have grown substantially across businesses in India.
It noted that the ongoing pandemic sped up technology adoption across most business verticals in 2020-21. While until a few years back, it was mostly IT firms that were adopting AI on a large scale; now, other sectors are fast catching up, thanks to phenomenal growth of start-ups and ongoing investment activities

ST. CLOUD Raising Cane s announced Monday it will open its St. Cloud location in October.
The restaurant, known for its chicken fingers, plans to begin hiring more than 90 workers for the new location, according to a Monday news release. The positions range from hourly crew spots to management-level options.
According to a building permit approved by the City of St. Cloud, the restaurant will be at 2635 Division Street, formerly the location of Ciatti s Ristorante. It will be an almost 3,700-square-foot, one-story building.
The St. Cloud location will be the first Raising Cane s in Minnesota with a multi-lane drive-thru, the release said. Construction has begun on the new location, which will be the 12th Raising Cane s in Minnesota and the first outside the Twin Cities metro area.

The price of lumber and building materials are an all-time high and it s causing concerns for the housing market.
