Even with that increase, the spending plan would eliminate a dozen positions town-wide to save $1,657,343 in salaries and benefits though it’s not clear how many layoffs, if any, would result. “We hope they’ll be from attrition,” Robinson said. “We assume we’re going to have retirees that will cover that amount.”
