STRATFORD Schools Superintendent Janet Robinson has asked Board of Education members to approve a $4.7 million budget increase for the 2021-22 school year.
Even with that increase, the spending plan would eliminate a dozen positions town-wide to save $1,657,343 in salaries and benefits though it’s not clear how many layoffs, if any, would result.
“We hope they’ll be from attrition,” Robinson said. “We assume we’re going to have retirees that will cover that amount.”
