(Representational Image)  |  Photo Credit: PTI Chandigarh: Amid a surge in cases, the third phase of the Covid-19 vaccination is set to commence from March 1 across Punjab and across the country. The vaccine will be administered to senior citizens above 60 years of age and citizens aged 45 to 59 suffering from co-morbidities as specified by the government. Regarding the co-morbidity, a certificate from Registered Medical Practitioner is needed. In this phase of vaccination, Punjab will be targeting to vaccinate at least 25-30 lakh eligible beneficiaries. According to the Central government, the vaccines are being administered free of cost at government hospitals and health centres, while Rs 250 will be charged at private health facilities.

Covid-19 vaccination: Co-WIN app not for public, government clarifies after glitches TIMESOFINDIA.COM / Updated: Mar 1, 2021, 19:44 IST New Delhi: The Union health ministry on Monday clarified that the Co-WIN app is only for administrators and that people who want to book an appointment for Covid-19 vaccination should instead visit the Co-WIN website. The ministry gave the clarification amid reported glitches in doing registrations as India opened up vaccination for senior citizens and those aged 45 and above with comorbidities. Registration and booking for an appointment for vaccination is to be done through Co-WIN Portal: http://cowin.gov.in., said the health ministry in a tweet.
