Friday Cheers returns May 7 for its 36th season of live music! Richmond's longest running outdoor concert series is held on Brown's Island on downtown's historic and picturesque riverfront. Each event in May and June features socially-distanced outdoor concerts with physically-spaced two, four and eight-person pods. DelFest, the beloved genre-spanning festival brainchild of McCoury Music and High Sierra Music is pleased to announce additional acts for its 13th annual festival, once again taking place in beautiful Cumberland, Maryland, on Sept. 23-26.
Announced today, festival hosts The Del McCoury Band and The Travelin’ McCourys, will be also joined by Railroad Earth, Béla Fleck My Bluegrass Heart feat. Michael Cleveland, Sierra Hull, Mark Schatz, and Bryan Sutton, Cabinet, the Seldom Scene, Hawktail and Jacob Jolliff Band.
“We are so glad that many acts were able to move with us to this fall, and glad that more friends have agreed to join us. The quintet will follow a pair of previously announced performances at The Caverns Above Ground Amphitheater in Pelham, Tennessee on May 21 and 22 by playing Maggie Valley Festival Grounds in Maggie Valley, North Carolina on May 27. Next comes “moe.morial Day: A Rooster Walk Family Gathering.”

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Friday Cheers, Richmondâs longest-running outdoor concert series, is returning for its 36th season.
There will be socially distanced concerts on Brownâs Island in May and June with two, four and eight-person pods.
Tickets will need to be purchased in advance and will not be able to be bought on-site.
âWe are thrilled to present these shows in a safe and responsible way. Invite your friends and family out to enjoy the warm weather in one of Richmondâs most beautiful outdoor event venues,â said Stephen Lecky, director of events for Venture Richmond.
