Meghan Guffee has been nominated as the successor of former District 10 County Commissioner Robbie Beal following his resignation from the board last month.
Beal resigned from the county commission on April 12 after announcing he and his wife would be moving outside the district he was elected to serve. Fellow District 10 Commissioner David Landrum was
tasked with nominating someone for the vacant spot.
After reviewing applicants, Landrum nominated Guffee. I chose Meghan Guffee because I feel that she has a heart to serve that came across in her interview real strong, Landrum said. She s lived in Williamson County since she was 4 years old.

PUEBLO, Colorado â As construction gets underway on the new Centennial High School, many alumni are worried about what the building will be missing. The school s foundation raised money over the years to build a museum, courtyard, and veterans wall on the current campus. In the plans for the new school, the land under these amenities will become sports fields and a drainage pond.

May 5 More than half a million Idahoans are officially fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Data from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare shows that 504,388 people were fully vaccinated as of Tuesday. That equates to about 36% of the state s eligible population (16 and older). The state has administered 1,080,893 doses in all, with 43.5% of the population having received at least one dose.
The vaccination milestone coincides with the continued decrease in the state s seven-day moving average of new COVID-19 cases, which stayed below 200 cases per day for the second consecutive day, at 174.1.

Idahoâs seven-day moving average for new COVID-19 cases fell below 200 per day on Monday, a first for the state since June of 2020.
The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare reported 368 new cases of COVID-19 between Saturday and Monday. That brought the seven-day moving average down to 185.6 per day over the past week. The seven-day moving average has been trending downward since reaching a peak of around 1,600 in mid-December, but it had not fallen below 200 per day since June 27.
