A two-member bench, comprising Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Amjad Ali Sahito, sought the reply after the counsel for the petitioner informed the court that the official price of milk had been increased from Rs80 per kilogramme to Rs94 per kilogramme, but the retailers had been selling the commodity for Rs140 per kilogramme.

The decision came during the hearing of an appeal by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) against the release of the Sputnik V vaccine. The company s lawyer told the court the government had set the tariff on coronavirus vaccines after his client had already imported the vaccine, therefore, it does not apply to the company s imported vaccine.
