After years of wishing and waiting to find the right spot, country musicians Craig Campbell and wife, Mindy Ellis Campbell, will open a coffee shop in Eagleville early next year.
The Grindstone Cowboy will combine coffee, country music and the Wild West in the heart of their hometown.
“We love coffee and I’ve always wanted a coffee shop and there’s not a drive-thru coffee shop within 20 minutes of here,” said Craig. (And no, he’s not related to Glen Campbell, although a lot of people assume that, he joked.)
The location is perfect for the couple s business vision for a coffee shop, café and music venue.

Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity dedicated three more homes in the newly established Legacy Pointe subdivision in Murfreesboro, the first of its kind in Tennessee. These were homes 170, 171 and 172 since the nonprofit affordable housing organization was founded locally in 1989.
“It has been a truly challenging year for all manner of reasons. … But the patience, the sweat, the tears, the engagement in Habitat has been remarkable for these three families,” said RCHFH Executive Director Terri Shultz at the dedication Thursday. “It is truly a blessing to see them grow as a community and that is what we wanted all along when we build houses. We want to build a sense of community.”
